Event Details
The OECD Observatory of Public Sector Innovation invites you to the launch of the working paper “Supporting decision making with strategic foresight: An emerging framework for proactive and prospective governments”.
The OECD has collaborated closely with the Portuguese Government’s Competence Centre for Planning, Policy, and Foresight (PlanAPP) on a project aimed at strengthening decision making and policy development in Portugal. As part of this collaboration, the OECD has worked alongside PlanAPP to highlight case studies, international benchmarks, and best practices as well as methodological recommendations, all intended to promote the adoption and implementation of strategic foresight in government.
This event will have the participation of leading strategic foresight practitioners and experts to discuss the importance of strategic foresight in decision making processes and how this practice and ability can equip governments to design better policies that consider the implications of plausible future scenarios.
As part of a dynamic discussion, participants will also have the opportunity to interact with panelists during a Q&A session.
