Coronavirus COVID-19 (2019-nCoV) Data Repository for South Africa created, maintained and hosted by Data Science for Social Impact research group, led by Dr. Vukosi Marivate, at the University of Pretoria.
It is a project creating open data for COVID19 in South Africa. Is led by the Data Science for Social Impact research group and made up of a consortium of volunteers from different spheres of society.
Specific issues addressed and anticipated impact
We are providing open data for COVID19 spread in South Africa. We are the only and largest resource for a lot of Scientists, Researchers and Decision-makers.

Potential issues
We are still having a challenge with government making data available. We do not have real-time capacity and capability information for Health facilities both in the public and private sectors. This is becoming more important as COVID 19 peak in SA approaches.
