The Ordnance Survey Ireland has made available linked open data on Covid-19 from the HSPC. The feature service contains the up to date Covid-19 Daily Statistics as well as the Profile of Covid-19 Daily Statistics for Ireland, as reported by the Health Surveillance Protection Centre.The Covid-19 Daily Statistics are updated on a daily basis, with the latest record reporting the counts recorded at 1pm the same day.

The COVID-19 data follows Linked Data principles and resolve to a Web page or RDF file with content negotiation.

Organisations/institutions involved

Developed by teams at the ADAPT Centre, Trinity College and Ordnance Survey Ireland. The Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HSPC) and the Department of Health are the main holders of data relating to Covid-19 in Ireland. They provide data as open data to Ordinance Survey Ireland (OSI) who add geocoding and release it as open data. This is in turn harvested by the national Open Data Portal.
