Innovative response

Online service and answering machine for application for financial support of 100 EUR to all adult citizens of Serbia as a response to COVID-19 crisis. Besides the submission of application, the portal allows for tracking of the status of application as well as form for reporting problems with the application or payments.

Specific issues addressed and anticipated impact

Registration started on May 15 and lasts until June 5, while the oldest citizens, ie pensioners and those who receive social assistance, do not have to register, they will receive the payment automatically, and the payment starts on May 15. All other adult citizens will be able to apply online through the Treasury (idp.trezor.gov.rs) or through the call center, by leaving the name, surname, ID number, and account to the answering machine.

If the citizen does not have a current bank account, it is necessary to state when submitting the application in which bank he wants to open a one-time dedicated account. After that, the account will be opened automatically, at no cost. After the citizen withdraws the money, the dedicated account will be closed.
