An online government resources to facilitate distance learning

Innovative response

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport introduced an official portal for schools, students and parents with a set of online resources to support them in a new situation, when learning in the classroom is not possible due to anti-epidemic measures. The portal “#nadalku” will soon provide an online assessment guide to ensure that end-of –year exams as well as admission and final exams take place for as many students as possible.

The distance learning of primary-school students during COVID-19 pandemic is supported by dedicated TV program “UčíTelka” presented daily by the Czech national television.

Specific issues addressed and anticipated impact

The guidelines follow a special act on COVID-19 crisis measures, which provides higher education institutions with greater flexibility in online teaching and learning, in particular in relation to quality assurance regulations. The purpose of these resources is both to share good practice and to provide institutions with greater legal certainty in times, when quick and unforeseen decisions are necessary.
