Estonian movement statistics

Innovative response

The application visualizes the mobility of the Estonian population from February until May and illustrates the movement restrictions created to stop the spread of the virus.
The data comes from one of the mobile service providers in Estonia and was published in the beginning of April.

Specific issues addressed and anticipated impact

This app in itself does not solve any issues but shows the drastic changes in the private lives of the citizen. It was also a great indicator for law enforcment to see if the rules set during the state of emergency (no unnecessary movements) are being followed by the public.
