The hybrid approach puts together two modes of futures research and practice in a step-by-step guide. Its intent is to help groups develop a future-oriented mindset.

This toolkit outlines Bridgeable’s approach to harnessing behavioural economics (BE) to design better products and services that nudge user behaviour. It combines a service design approach with a BE approach, with the caveat that BE helps identify and tweak pivotal moments of decision making but not overall user experience or strategies.

Australia's BizLab, within the Department of Industry, Innovation, and Science, was established in 2016 and launched BizLab Academy in 2018. The goal of the academy is to teach Human Centred Design (HCD) to department employees, but also the rest of the Australian Public Service. The academy aims to strengthen the public sector's capability for evidence-based policy and service design while at the same time instilling a citizen-centric culture and building an alumni of human centred design practitioners and advocates.
This curriculum has been modified and adjusted after trial sessions and is available for others to help guide, build, and design their own training modules. It includes a facilitation guide, presentation, and artefacts.

It was created with consideration for the resource constraints in developing country contexts, so proposes light-touch and low-cost methods. However, it could easily be applied elsewhere.

The Hackers’ Kit supports different types of discussions around project and program design. It's aim is to normalise innovation in a large organization by embedding new practices in key project management business processes. Worked on and tested with over 25 project teams in the United Nations Development Programme, the toolkit is intended for an international development context but could be applied to any large organisation with a desire to innovate.
It includes a wall map of the process, question cards to get people "unstuck," and a collection of 19 tools that supports innovation activities throughout the project cycle. With them, one can capture insights and analyse, support decision making, challenge thinking and assumptions, plan activities, prompt discussion, and stimulate reflection. These tools can be used in group sessions, or by individuals and includes a facilitators guide.
The OGP Toolbox is a collaborative platform that gathers digital tools developed and used throughout the world by organizations to improve democracy and promote transparency, participation and collaboration.
It is designed as a social network and includes use cases and tool "collections," technical criteria informed by the community and recommendations based on the experience of users that have already implemented existing solutions.

The Experiment Co-Creation Platform (ECP) is a model for collaboration and experimenting dedicated in delivering sustainable solutions to wicked urban problems.
The ECP model was developed and prototyped by Demos Helsinki. In the model, cities, higher education institutions and non-academic collaborators such as companies and foundations together define a desirable shared vision to work towards to as well as identify the challenges preventing the vision from happening. Research-based teams develop their research and solutions to the identified challenges through experimenting in a real-life urban setting and support from experts of various fields. The goal is to increase teams’ technology readiness level (TRL) from TRL4 “technology validated in a lab” to TRL5 “technology validated in a relevant environment” and create a premise for feasible, scalable solutions that work in practice.

The Open Government Costing Tool is a Microsoft Excel based
application designed to support the collection and calculation of the cost of open government programs. This tool was created as a
companion to the Open Government Costing Framework and Methods, which details an approach to estimating the cost of open government programs. This tool is a template in which users can directly enter data collected on input units and unit costs of an open government program and automatically generate an estimate for the cost of the program. The AIA is a questionnaire designed to help assess and mitigate the impacts associated with deploying an automated decision system. It helps identify the impact level of an automated decision system. It was developed with the Canadian Directive on Automated Decision-Making in mind but it can be applied elsewhere. The questions are focused on business processes, data, and system design decisions.
The questionnaire asks around 60 questions and the results will demonstrate impact level as well as a link where you can learn about what requirements would be under the Directive. The questionnaire takes at least 35 minutes to complete. This is an open source project that can be adapted to suit your needs. It is available in English and French.

This resource contains a framework and guidance regarding the use of user-centred design. The publisher defines the UCD process in six phases - two planning and four delivery phases. The Privy Council Office's Impact and Innovation Unit’s (IIU) developed this guidance for impact measurement, in support of its work under Impact Canada. This resource provides an introduction to the topic, as well as a reference for those involved in the design, delivery, procurement or appraisal of impact measurement strategies in Canada and beyond. It provides descriptions and considerations of different ways of measuring impact versus traditional methods.
It includes the reasoning for measuring impact, threats to validity of impact evaluation, a matrix for evidence, descriptions and guidance on methods, including Randomized Control Trials and quasi-experimental approaches.

La Veeduria Distrital de Bogotá, por medio de su Laboratorio de Innovación Pública Distrital LABcapital, ha diseñado e implementado el primer Índice de Innovación Pública (IIP) para ciudades. El IIP fue diseñado en 2017 e implementado en noviembre de 2018 con 39 entidades públicas de Bogotá. Los resultados de la medición fueron socializados en julio de 2019.

El IIP es una herramienta fundamental para analizar el estado de la Innovación Pública de una entidad gubernamental. Así mismo, es un instrumento que busca definir una hoja de ruta para mejorar las acciones que una entidad pública desarrolla para potencializar su innovación.
Dentro de la información compartida sobre el IIP se encuentran:
• Los resultados de la medición del IIP: En este documento se encuentra el desglose de los componentes, variables, indicadores y valores del Índice; la información general sobre las cifras de innovación pública de Bogotá; y la clasificación de las entidades públicas distritales según el nivel de Innovación. Al final del documento de plantean algunas conclusiones.
• Bases conceptuales del IIP: En este documento se menciona la bibliografía consultada para la creación del Índice, así como la descripción de cada uno de sus componentes. Al final del documento se propone una primera versión del IIP

En este sentido, el IIP busca que las entidades gubernamentales, así como los servidores públicos que conforman estas entidades, puedan: diseñar e implementar productos y servicios públicos mas costo-eficientes; con mejor calidad para los ciudadanos ;que promuevan la participación ciudadana, la rendición de cuentas y la transparencia ;generando así mejores resultados en la gestión pública y en la calidad de vida de la ciudadanía.
Uno de los ejes fundamentales para el mejoramiento de la Gestión Pública es la evaluación de Políticas, Planes, Proyectos que se desarrollan en el sector público.
En ese sentido, el Laboratorio de Innovación Pública de la Veeduria Distrital de Bogotá (LABcapital) ha diseñado un Portafolio de Instrumentos Innovadores para evaluar Políticas Públicas, como un insumo fundamental para servidores públicos encargados de diseñar e implementar evaluaciones en el sector público.
Este compendio de modelos y herramientas innovadoras tiene como objetivos: a) generar procesos de evaluación más inclusivos y colaborativos, b) promover costo-eficiencia, c) promover un monitoreo constante, para lo cual se puedan tomar acciones correctivas de manera más frecuente, d) prevenir el sesgo de información dejando de un lado las preferencias personales, y e) desarrollar procesos mucho más transparentes y responsables, incrementando el acceso de los ciudadanos y servidores públicos a esta valiosa información, promoviendo control preventivo y social.
