Digitaleducred.ro – an example of crowdsourcing for education in the context of COVID-19

Innovative response

'Digital pe educred.ro' e-Platform
'Digital pe educred.ro' or digitaleducred.ro was developed by the team of the project "Relevant Curriculum, Open Education for All" - CRED, with the support of experts from the Institute of Education Sciences (IES), in order to provide teachers and pupils with much needed digital tools and skills to continue their learning from home.
The spread of COVID-19 has put forward the need to speed up the “digitalisation” of teachers’ skillset and didactic resources. Digitaleducred.ro is a space created for all teachers who want to capitalise on new technologies in their learning activities with pupils, developed in an online environment.
The platform is the result of a common effort, both of experts and teachers, to put together several types of digital and didactic resources that could benefit the delivery of educational activities carried out online during the schools’ closure. All the resources collected on the platform are free of charge.

Specific issues addressed and anticipated impact

Digitaleducred.ro is a space created for all teachers who want to capitalise on new technologies in their learning activities with pupils, developed in an online environment. Teachers can access the learning resources they need for the online activities with their pupils, as well as the digital tools which can support them in creating such learning resources.
Digitaleducred.ro also promotes peer learning as it has a section dedicated to collaborative learning platforms in which each teacher can share advice, ideas, experiences or resources. It also has a section of Open Educational Resources - RED, centralised in the "ISE Resources" section of the site.
