Internship Opportunity for France-based candidates (due date 25 November)

As part of the OECD Internship Programme, OPSI is recruiting one or more interns to join the team in January 2021 (there is some flexibility with start dates and end dates). Specific projects would vary depending on the ongoing projects of the team at the time, as well as the experience, qualifications, and interests of the selected candidate(s). Some potential project areas may be related to:

  • Innovation management.
  • Anticipatory Innovation Governance (see Project page).
  • Behavioural science applications to strengthen the design and delivery of public policies.
  • Enhancing the OPSI Toolkit Navigator.
  • Communications, stakeholder engagement, and event planning.
  • Research on emerging innovations issues (e.g., emerging technologies, such as our primers on AI and Rules as Code).
  • Tracking and analysing public sector innovation trends.
  • Country-specific innovation studies (e.g., our full study on Brazil or our scan on Israel).

Tasks will vary depending on the projects at hand, but may involve:

  • Participating in the preparation of notes, reports and case studies.
  • Carrying out research and reviews of existing materials.
  • Collecting, organising and analysing data.
  • Participating in meetings and seminars;
  • Liaising and building networks with officials in national administrations and researchers.
  • Behavioural science and behavioural economics research including literature reviews, experimental design and data analysis

Interns are paid a taxable allowance of about EUR 700 per month.

Requirements for candidates:

  • Must live in France (optimally in Paris for the potential of a return to working in-person at at OECD Headquarters).
  • Must be enrolled in a full-time degree programme for the duration of the internship in a field or discipline related to the work of the OECD.
  • If selected, must be able to obtain a Memorandum of Agreement between their school and the OECD, which governing the terms of the internship
  • Must apply by 25 November 2020 (23:59 pm CET).
  • Full time candidates (40 hours per week) that can commit to a 6 month internship preferred.
  • Note: Interns can come from any country (i.e. not only OECD member countries).
